Locally, as members of Bolsa de Valores de Montevideo, we get access to locally issued sovereign and corporate bonds, local currency treasury bills, and equity. At the same time, we are authorized participants in the Uruguayan Futures Exchange (UFEX), which allows us to offer hedge solutions for our most sophisticated client needs.
We offer a multi-currency platform, as through different international counterparties we get access to almost every market. Financial products mostly traded are shares and ETFs, options, sovereign and corporate bonds, structured notes, and the most well-known Mutual Fund families.

Víctor Paullier & Cia. was founded on March 26th 1904 in Uruguay by Mr. Víctor Paullier Barruetabeña, a young man of French origin, at a time when our Country was emerging from a period of political confrontations. It overcame with success the crisis of the first half of the 20th century, particularly de Crash of 1929 which had strong repercussions in Uruguay, strengthening its philosophy based on prudence and on diversified saving of financial assets.
In the late 50’s, when Uruguay went through one of its most prosperous financial times, in an effort to become international the firm seals its first strategic alliance in Europe with Banca Foglia in Milan, Italy. Víctor Paullier Martínez, father of the current Director, was responsible for developing this new activity.
From that moment on, much experience has been acquired under different financial and political circumstances it had to go through, but always focusing on its main purpose: giving its Clients full advice regarding all their financial needs, with greatest honesty and confidentiality, abiding always to all ethical regulations and bound by the professional secrecy.
The Compliance Department of Víctor Paullier & Cía was created with the purpose of fulfilling the regulatory commitment of our firm with the regulatory authorities, as well as to guarantee the safety that our clients deserve.
Víctor Paullier & Cía. maintains certain ethic principles and codes regarding the relationship with its clients, and standard good practices regarding the offered products and services, all of this resumed in the Code of Ethics and Internal Regulations, fully observed and applied by all the staff.
Our firm has incorporated and adopted certain procedures, in line with international standards and best practices, in order to prevent money laundering coming from criminal activities, Money Laundering Prevention and Terrorism Financing Prevention.
